Coffey County Historical Society & Museum

Explore the history of Coffey County, home to Sac and Fox prior to the county’s 1854-1857 settlement.

Coffey County Historical Society and Museum exhibits interpret the history of Coffey County and its communities, businesses, and people.

On the grounds are the museum, the Rural Dale (one room) school house built in 1896, and the Bethel Methodist Episcopal Church built in 1895. Both have been restored and are in very good condition. There is also a genealogy library.
