The World's oldest purpose-built cinema in operation, The Plaza Cinema, opened its Movie Memorabilia Museum May 15, 2013. The exhibit includes an impressive collection of movie props, costumes, scripts, posters and original signed photographs from big screen favorites such as King Kong, Three Musketeers, Hunger Games, Creature from the Black Lagoon and much more.The museum has new and exciting exhibits all the time–from Elvis's hair to real costumes worn in big motion pictures! The collections are a joy to see and were acquired with help from the Franklin County Historical Society and special friends.
The museum is a celebration of cinema magic and reflects the films played at The Plaza Cinema over the past 111 years.
